ALUMNA STILL HELPING STUDENTS THROUGH BEQUEST

"Kids always came first with Beverly," recalls a close friend of Beverly Bardwell, an alumna of the College at Oneonta's Class of 1953. Beverly loved teaching fourth-grade students in the Ballston Spa Central School District where she spent her career. And she continues to assist students—even though she passed away more than a decade ago.

Throughout her lifetime, Beverly had a great regard for education and felt a deep sense of gratitude to the College at Oneonta for her wonderful career. When it was time to write her will, she knew that one of her primary goals was to help our College and our students. Beverly included a residuary bequest in her will to the College at Oneonta Foundation for scholarships for our students.

As it was in her lifetime, "kids" continue to come first for Beverly, and we are forever grateful to her for her generosity and planning.
